Daehan Optical Communication (010170) is surging more than 7%, soaring enough to trigger a Volatility Interruption (VI) during the session. The broader stock market also started off strong.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 9th, a static VI was triggered for Daehan Optical Communication at 9:23:13 a.m. and lifted at 9:25:34 a.m. Even after the VI was lifted, the stock maintained its gains as buying momentum continued. As of 9:39 a.m. on the same day, Daehan Optical Communication is trading at 11,090 won, up 750 won (7.25%) from the previous trading day.

The domestic stock market is also broadly strong. At the same time, the KOSPI index stood at 7,439.79, up 193 points (2.66%) from the previous trading day, while the KOSDAQ index rose to 800.99, up 15.99 points (2.03%), with both markets simultaneously posting gains.
