HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has won an order for six P/C vessels worth approximately 469.9 billion KRW from a Middle East-based shipping company.

On the 9th, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries announced through a regulatory filing that it signed a contract to build six P/C vessels for a Middle East-based shipping company. The total value of this contract is 469.9 billion KRW (469,900,000,000 KRW). This amount is equivalent to 2.67% of the company's most recent consolidated revenue of 17.5806 trillion KRW for the 2025 fiscal year.

The contract period runs from July 8, 2026, to June 30, 2029. A down payment and progress payments will be made, with payments collected based on construction progress. The contract signing date is also specified as July 8, 2026, in the filing.

The company explained that the initial officially announced exchange rate on the contract date of 1,526.60 KRW per U.S. dollar was applied when calculating the contract amount. It also added that the most recent revenue figure is based on the 2025 consolidated financial statements, and both the contract amount and the most recent revenue figures are rounded to the nearest hundred million KRW.
