Hanwha Engine has signed a KRW 115.8 billion contract to supply marine engines.
In a single sales and supply contract disclosure filed on the 10th, Hanwha Engine announced that it had entered into an agreement to supply marine engines to shipyards in the Asian region and other locations.
The contract amount is KRW 115,823,400,000, which accounts for 8.4% of the company's most recent revenue (KRW 1,371,057,336,146) based on the consolidated financial statements as of the end of 2025.
The counterparty to the contract was not disclosed due to confidentiality reasons. The company plans to disclose the information through a corrective disclosure once the grounds for withholding are lifted or the withholding period expires on July 10, 2027.
The contract period runs from July 10, 2026 to September 15, 2029, subject to the payment of a down payment and advance payment. However, the contract period may change depending on shipbuilding schedules.
Hanwha Engine stated that it applied the exchange rate of KRW 1,504.20 per U.S. dollar, the transaction reference exchange rate on the contract date, to calculate the contract amount.
