The pre-program 'Comedy School Attack' of the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) was held at Samsung Girls' High School in Saha-gu, Busan, building anticipation for the festival with a performance together with students.

The Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee held the 'Comedy School Attack,' a program that visits youth in person, at Samsung Girls' High School on the 10th. This program, in which popular comedians visit schools to communicate with students, has been receiving enthusiastic responses every year.

On this day's stage, Kim Byung-wook, Chae Hyo-ryung, Kang Myung-sun, and Seo Seong-kyung from KBS 'Gag Concert 2' performed segments including 'What Should I Say?', 'Simgok Police Box,' and 'Military.' As student-participatory talk sketches, impromptu ad-libs, and witty remarks continued, the auditorium was filled with laughter and applause.

Students also participated in various recreational programs with the comedians, including 'Look Into My Eyes! Dynamic Vision Test,' 'What's Your Name?,' a song-guessing game, and a short-form challenge relay. At the end of the event, a 'Smile Scholarship' was awarded to the students who brought the most laughter, and the event came to a grand finale with a group photo session.

Executive Committee Chairman Kim Jun-ho and Chief of External Cooperation Hong In-gyu cheered on the students through video messages. Chairman Kim Jun-ho said, "Hello, students of Samsung Girls' High School, a prestigious private school in Busan. I hope you are ready to laugh to your heart's content today," and added, "Please show great interest in and participate in the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival, which will be held in Busan from August 21 to 30." Chief of External Cooperation Hong In-gyu said, "I hope the students' stress completely disappeared through this School Attack," and added, "Please also show a lot of love for the Busan International Comedy Festival taking place this August."

An organizing committee official stated, "Seeing the students laugh and enjoy freely through comedy, we were able to confirm once again the power of laughter," and added, "We will continue to strive to spread comedy culture and expand opportunities for cultural enjoyment through various programs that communicate closely with citizens."

Meanwhile, the Busan International Comedy Festival has established itself as Korea's first and Asia's largest international comedy festival over the past 14 years. Going forward, it plans to build a comedy platform that organically links performance, creation, and education, and to form an ecosystem encompassing content planning, production, and distribution as well as the discovery and cultivation of new comedians and professional talent, leaping forward as Asia's representative comedy hub. The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival will be held across Busan from August 21 to 30, featuring various performances and programs with top-class domestic and international comedy artists.
