On Lifetime's weekend drama "Empathy Cell," Kim Myung-soo volunteered as Kang Min-ah's manager, signaling the start of a romance between the two.

In the fourth episode, Cha Eun-hwan (Kim Myung-soo) rescued Yoo Ji-an (Kang Min-ah) from an unfair contract crisis. Cha Eun-hwan protected Yoo Ji-an from swarming reporters and publicly declared himself her manager. During this process, Yoo Ji-an confessed her feelings to Cha Eun-hwan, bringing their relationship closer.

The episode also revealed the past of the Cha Eun-hwan siblings. An accident at a film set during their childhood left the entire family deeply scarred, and the incident continues to affect the characters' current relationships. In particular, it depicted the heartbreaking scene where Cha Eun-hwan's attempt to follow his father led to his older sister Cha Song-hwan (Cha Min-ji) getting into an accident.

Meanwhile, Han Yi-jin (Kwon So-hyun) joined a project by director Moon Kyung-sik (Cho Hyun-jae) in Yoo Ji-an's absence. She offered Cha Eun-hwan a position as an exclusive psychological counselor, but the situation took a sharp turn when news broke of an asset seizure against Yoo Ji-an. Due to Kim Jun-sik's (Jung Hee-tae) opposition, Cha Eun-hwan refused the contract, and Han Yi-jin's plan was thwarted.

Yoo Ji-an later found a new opportunity when a competing actor suffered an injury, and she offered Cha Eun-hwan the manager position, hoping for an emotional connection. However, Cha Eun-hwan declined due to the past incident, and after being stripped of his psychological counselor credentials, he fell into deep confusion.

The tension continued to build. On a rainy day, Yoo Ji-an brought Ha-yul (Ko Ju-ni) home, only to discover that Ha-yul was Cha Eun-hwan's nephew. Cha Eun-hwan, who came looking for Ha-yul, became angry at Yoo Ji-an, but later found her collapsed and rushed her to the hospital.

When it became known that the two had gone to the hospital together, Han Yi-jin devised a plan to connect Yoo Ji-an with an unscrupulous agency. However, Han Yi-jin's manager Do-hoon (Kang Pil-jun) relayed this to Cha Eun-hwan, who personally went to the agency trying to sign Yoo Ji-an and declared, "I will be her manager." In this scene, Yoo Ji-an's smile hinted at the possibility of romance, heightening viewers' anticipation.

Episode 5 of "Empathy Cell" airs on the 18th at 10:50 PM on Lifetime, and will be available on U+tv Mobile and Disney+ at midnight on the 19th.
