Actor Heo Sung-tae is joining the Netflix original series 'This Damn Love.'

His agency Billions stated, "Heo Sung-tae has been confirmed to appear in the Netflix series 'This Damn Love' (written by Mo Ji-hye, directed by Kim Jang-han)."

Heo Sung-tae takes on the role of Baek Sang-gil, a legendary organization boss. Baek Sang-gil appears to be a dignified businessman on the outside but ruthlessly deals with betrayal. In particular, he will clash with boxing coach Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), heightening the tension of the series.

'This Damn Love' is a romantic comedy that unfolds when prosecutor Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), who suffers from amnesia, begins living with boxing coach Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), who claims to be her boyfriend. Director Kim Jang-han helms the production, and writer Mo Ji-hye penned the script. The two reunite for their first collaboration in four years since 'You Raise Me Up.'

Heo Sung-tae has showcased intense acting skills and a unique presence across both films and dramas. He recently delivered a charismatic performance in the MBC drama 'Fifty Percent,' and his notable works include the dramas 'Squid Game,' 'Monster,' and 'Insider,' as well as the films 'The Outlaws,' 'The Age of Shadows,' and 'The Fortress.'

His awards include the Male Excellence in Acting Award in the Film Category at the 2018 Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards, the Scene Stealer Male Actor at the 2019 Korea First Brand Awards, the Best Actor Award at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards, and the Male Acting Award at the 2022 APAN Star Awards as well as the Male Supporting Actor Award at the KBS Drama Awards, among others.

'This Damn Love' is scheduled for release on Netflix on August 7, 2026.
