Singer Koo Chang-mo will release his special album 'Memory & Future,' featuring new songs for the first time in 36 years, on various online music platforms starting at noon on the 14th.

This album is his first official new release since his 5th album 'Sad Affection' in 1989. It consists of a total of 14 tracks, combining 12 representative hit songs from his time with the band Songgolmae and his solo career with 2 newly produced songs. The album title 'Memory & Future' encapsulates the memories cherished in the public's mind and the musical future that lies ahead.

Title Track 'You I Met Again'… Funk Rhythm + Powerful Vocals

The title track 'You I Met Again' is a homage to 'You I Happened to Meet,' a representative song that Koo Chang-mo personally wrote and composed for Songgolmae's 2nd album. It is a song that blends funk rhythms with Koo Chang-mo's signature powerful vocals. Another new track, 'Lovers of Planet Earth,' incorporates a classical-style CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) sound, showcasing Koo Chang-mo's musical evolution.

Live Appearance on YouTube Channel Suwa-jin TV on Release Day

Koo Chang-mo will appear on a live broadcast of the YouTube channel Suwa-jin TV at 8 p.m. on the 14th, the day of the album's release. He plans to perform new songs as well as hit tracks such as 'You I Happened to Meet,' 'Heenari,' and 'To My Baby' live for the first time. During the broadcast, he will also share stories about his reasons for leaving the band, enjoying his prime as a solo singer, his sudden hiatus and transition to becoming a businessman, his 36-year break, and his future musical plans.

Debut in 1978… From Songgolmae Frontman to Solo Hitmaker

Koo Chang-mo made his debut in 1978 as a member of Black Tetra at the TBC Beach Song Festival, where he received a Popularity Award for 'Clouds and Me.' In the 1980s, as the frontman and main composer of the rock band Songgolmae, he produced hits such as 'I Will Love Everyone' and 'The Moment I First Saw You.' After transitioning to a solo career, he gained love from multiple generations with songs including 'Heenari,' 'I Mature as Much as It Hurts,' and 'Open the Door.'
