Channel A's 'Detectives' Trade Secret' revealed the shocking real-life stories of a man who fled after embezzling 50 billion won as the mastermind of a voice phishing organization and an illegal gambling site operator, as well as a parasitic younger man who preyed on older women in their 40s.

"Abandoned Common-Law Wife and Daughter to Flee"... The Fall of a Voice Phishing Mastermind Who Embezzled 50 Billion Won On this day's broadcast, the story of a Korean-Chinese female client asking to find a Korean man who went missing six years ago was introduced. The client lived with a man from Qingdao in Busan and had a daughter, but the man cut off contact just two months after the birth and left for Vietnam. Suffering from Meniere's disease while raising her child alone and making ends meet, the client asked to find her husband for the sake of her daughter. During the investigation, the man's mother claimed, "My son was originally a married man, and he didn't divorce because of the client; he had already divorced." In response, the client explained that she had no idea the man was married, had been completely deceived, and had never called his ex-wife. The detective team met with an informant who had suffered financial damage from the man and uncovered his shocking track record. According to the informant's testimony, the man ran a voice phishing organization in Qingdao, was placed on an Interpol Red Notice, and fled to Vietnam. There, he operated an illegal gambling site and embezzled a staggering 50 billion won, with some victims even taking their own lives. The man, who enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle with his criminal proceeds, was eventually arrested by Vietnamese public security and placed in a detention center. He was repatriated to South Korea in 2024 and is currently incarcerated in a detention center. The client visited the man for the first time in six years at the detention center but was reduced to tears by his cold attitude. The detective team pointed out that the man felt absolutely no guilt about abandoning the client and their daughter, and the client expressed her bewilderment at how to explain the situation to her daughter.

"Being a Gigolo is His Calling"... Parasitic Younger Man Embezzles 100 Million Won After Preying on Three Women in Their 40s In the true-story reconstruction segment, the story was told of a female doctor in her 40s who sought out a detective to uncover the true identity of her boyfriend, who was 12 years younger. The client met the man during a trip to Japan three years ago, brought him to Korea, and supported him with housing, living expenses, and academy fees to help him become a flight attendant. They first met through a 'rental boyfriend' service that cost 100,000 won per hour. However, the boyfriend secretly quit his job as a flight attendant and simultaneously dated three older women in their 40s, receiving millions to tens of millions of won in living expenses each month, as well as expensive watches and luxury gifts. He did not even hesitate to use abusive language toward the older women. The boyfriend was preparing to marry a younger influencer who was also a former flight attendant, using the money he received from the older women to gift her a 10-million-won watch and go on overseas trips. He also embezzled the 100-million-won deposit for the studio apartment provided by the client and fled. Seeing this, Kim Poong remarked about the man, "Being a gigolo is his true calling," while Yoo In-na said, "Beyond anger, it just seems so pathetic." Defconn pointed out, "It was doomed from the start," and Kim Poong called out the man's behavior as "the life of a parasite." The client is currently pursuing a lawsuit to recover the studio apartment deposit. Meanwhile, the boyfriend, even during the lawsuit, held a wedding with his younger girlfriend and is showing a relaxed lifestyle by posting his daily life on social media. Singer Wax, who appeared on the broadcast, confessed the difficulties of dating, saying, "I thought I would have been swayed by the younger man's flirting, but after learning the whole story, I realized that people eventually show their true colors over time."

Meanwhile, Channel A's 'Detectives' Trade Secret' airs every Monday at 10 PM.
