This new release is the first new music Sunmi has unveiled in about 8 months since her first full-length album 'HEART MAID' last year. The title track 'Forever July' compares love to the rainy season that descends during a sunny season, delicately capturing emotions where excitement and confusion coexist. By utilizing objects that evoke summer's humid weather, such as wet hair and umbrellas, Sunmi breaks away from the refreshing formula of conventional summer songs to deliver her own unique summer sentiment.

Notably, Sunmi personally participated in writing and composing the track, adding her musical individuality. The rhythm based on a UK garage beat harmonizes with smooth instrument sounds, and the repeating chorus along with Sunmi's signature vocal tone in the previously released teaser are amplifying fans' anticipation.
