Actor Yoon Tae-ha will take the stage in Daehangro this July, appearing in the play 'Bank Bang Lesson,' a representative work by Japanese playwright Takahashi Isao.
Running from July 22 to 26 at Takei Theater in Daehangro, 'Bank Bang Lesson' is a comedy that depicts the mishaps that unfold when impoverished theater actors are mistaken for bank robbers.
Yoon Tae-ha takes on the role of 'Takeshi' in the production. He plays a character who mistakes an actual robbery drill for a real crime when two men carrying a pistol and a knife enter a bank during a crime prevention training exercise. Takeshi and his girlfriend 'Junko' serve as the axis that amplifies the misunderstanding, driving the tension of the story.
Notably, the original author Takahashi Isao plans to visit Korea in person to attend the performance. Takahashi Isao, who founded the theater troupe Shoma in 1982 and has led Japan's small theater scene, made significant contributions to Korea-Japan theater exchange, including being the first to direct playwright Kim Gwang-rim's 'Come See Me' in Japan.
Meanwhile, Yoon Tae-ha is represented by T&I Cultures and graduated from Anyang Arts High School's Department of Theater and Film and Konkuk University's Department of Film. He has built a solid filmography, appearing in films such as 'Earthworm,' 'Microhabitat,' and 'The Queen of Crime Method,' as well as dramas including 'Hunter with a Scalpel,' 'I Stole the Male Lead's First Night,' 'The Judge from Hell,' 'Boyhood,' 'Day and Night,' and 'Fly, Gaecheon-dong.'
