Robotis (108490) triggered a Volatility Intervention Mechanism (VI) as it showed a sharp upward trend during the afternoon session on the 15th.

The stock triggered a static VI at 1:13:59 p.m. on the same day. It maintained its upward trend thereafter, trading at 223,500 won as of 1:16 p.m., up 28,000 won (14.32%) from the previous trading day.

Robotis's strength is interpreted as being linked to the broader risk-on sentiment in the domestic stock market. At the same time, the KOSPI recorded the 7,391 level, showing a surge of more than 7%. The KOSDAQ also recovered to the 827 level, rising more than 5%, as both major indices showed a joint rally.

Some analysts believe that although the U.S. June Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 3.5% year-over-year, the fact that it continued a slowing trend within market expectations and improved investor sentiment has also influenced the domestic stock market.

However, the upcoming U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) and additional inflation indicators, as well as whether the Federal Reserve (Fed) will change its interest rate stance, are expected to be the next variables for the stock market.
