The KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday mini-series 'The Completion of Marriage' is renewing its own all-time highs as it simultaneously gains momentum in both viewership ratings and buzz.

According to Nielsen Korea, the recently aired episode 4 recorded a minute-by-minute peak rating of 8.5% and a nationwide rating of 7.2%. Compared to the previous episode (episode 3), this represents an increase of 1.2 percentage points in the peak rating and 1.9 percentage points nationwide, marking a steep rise even within the trend of KBS Saturday-Sunday mini-series.

Its performance on OTT platforms is also notable. As of the 14th, it ranked No. 1 for two consecutive weeks on Disney+'s global 'Today's Top 10 Series in Korea' chart and climbed to No. 3 on Kinolights' 'Overall OTT Ranking.'

Amid this popularity, scenes revealing the happy past of Kang Tae-joo (Namgoong Min) and Go Se-yoon (Lee Seol)'s family have been drawing attention. In the drama, their critically ill daughter passes away just moments before Kang Tae-joo arrives. Upon receiving the news, Go Se-yoon erupts in anger toward her husband, who failed to arrive in time, shouting, 'This is all your fault!'

In the released flashback scene of their 'daughter's birthday party,' Kang Tae-joo and Go Se-yoon are seen smiling as they simultaneously kiss their daughter on both cheeks in a setting decorated with balloons, flowers, and a cake. Kang Tae-joo struggles to capture the moment on his phone. This ordinary family's happiness stands in stark contrast to the present-day tragic conflict.

The two actors' chemistry also stood out on set. Namgoong Min encouraged the child actor with applause, while Lee Seol naturally conversed with the young performer, lightening the atmosphere on set. The pair's portrayal of a cozy family also drew warm responses from the staff.

Regarding this scene, the production team said, 'It is an important scene that shows Kang Tae-joo and Go Se-yoon once had a happier past than anyone else,' adding, 'It will be a scene that makes the tragedy of the kidnapped Go Se-yoon and Kang Tae-joo, who searches for his wife, feel all the more poignant.' They continued, 'Namgoong Min and Lee Seol empathetically portrayed the facets of a family that was happy in its everyday life,' and added, 'Please watch until the end to see how the secrets of the past they held onto and the family's final fate will unfold.'

Meanwhile, 'The Completion of Marriage' was produced with the support of the Korea Communications Commission's Broadcasting Communications Development Fund, and episode 5 will air on Saturday, the 18th, at 9:20 p.m.
