According to the Korea Gold Exchange on July 15, the trading price of silver (3.75g) was as follows:

  • Buying price: 11,600 won (up 50 won, 0.43% from the previous day)
  • Selling price: 9,850 won (up 90 won, 0.91% from the previous day)

Both buying and selling prices rose slightly compared to the previous day.

■ U.S. June CPI Rises 3.5%... "There is still work to do on inflation"

From a macroeconomic perspective, the U.S. June CPI, announced the previous day in Korean time, rose 3.5% year-on-year. While the CPI's upward trend slowed thanks to stabilizing international oil prices, Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh maintained a cautious stance.

He stated, "Some may say the mission is accomplished, but we still have work to do on inflation," conveying his determination not to tolerate high levels of inflation.
