KBS 2TV's new weekend drama 'Love Is on the Way' has released a teaser video offering a glimpse into the charming chemistry of various couples.
Slated to premiere on Saturday, July 25 at 7:55 p.m., 'Love Is on the Way' (directed by Hong Seok-gu, written by Lee Kyung-hee, produced by Monster Union and Contents is) is a family recipe drama that depicts the story of a man and a woman who gather the fragments of a broken family to build a warm life together.
The teaser video released on the 16th begins with the question, 'How do you recognize love?' It then captivates viewers by condensing diverse romances — including fateful love, bitter ties, salvation, and fluttering excitement — along with the evolving relationships of key characters.
The video unfolds engaging episodes of couples exuding distinct charms. First, Kim Mu-jin (Ha Seok-jin) and Han Gyu-rim (Ahn Hee-yeon) continue a fateful encounter, crossing paths twice at a bus stop while wearing the same outfit and even working part-time together. In particular, a sweet scene draws attention where Kim Mu-jin confesses to Han Gyu-rim, 'Keep making my heart flutter. I wouldn't mind if you don't get caught, and it'd be even better if you do.'
On the other hand, some couples display a tense battle of nerves. On a bus, Jo Heung-sik (Bae Jung-nam) taps on the window, asking Han Gyu-young (Park Yoo-na) to give up her seat, but Han Gyu-young pretends not to hear and closes her eyes, revealing their antagonistic relationship. After getting off, a commotion ensues as Jo Heung-sik strikes Han Gyu-young's shoes on the ground and Han Gyu-young makes an upset face. Adding to the humor, Jo Heung-sik's line, 'Just lose your mind already,' paired with Han Gyu-young falling over, elicits laughter.
Additionally, Han Seok-joong (Ryu Seung-soo) and Hong Ok-sun (Jin Kyung) engage in a subtle rivalry over who is older. A peculiar bond is hinted at through a scene where Hong Ok-sun buries her nose in a bowl of fermented soup. When Han Seok-joong asks, 'Why are you so good to me?' Hong Ok-sun replies, 'Because I feel sorry for you, sir,' showcasing their unique chemistry.
The story of Kwon Hee-na (Jung Bo-min) and Han Gyu-oh (Bae Yoon-kyu) is also intriguing. Han Gyu-oh takes the hand of Kwon Hee-na, who is in a difficult situation, and guides her, saying, 'Just keep looking straight ahead.' A scene follows where a tipsy Kwon Hee-na asks, 'Are you worrying about me right now?' Later, when Kwon Hee-na visits Park Soo-nam (Kang Ae-shim), Han Gyu-oh hides his body, and the two engage in witty banter as Kwon Hee-na responds to his 'You know me, right?' with 'No, I don't.'
Other scenes further heighten the teaser's immersion, including Jang Seo-hyun (Lee Joo-yeon) making an impromptu declaration at a public gathering while pointing at Kim Mu-jin — 'This man is my boyfriend, he's mine' — and a comical moment where Park Jung-woo (Min Jin-woong) and Kim Mu-jin read their future using leaves, only to be startled together when the last leaf reads 'You will break up!'
'Love Is on the Way,' which promises diverse love stories and a warm recipe for life, will premiere on KBS 2TV on Saturday, July 25 at 7:55 p.m.
