KBS 2TV's weekend miniseries 'The Art of Marriage' is gaining momentum in popularity, breaking its own highest viewership ratings. With Namgoong Min's shocking counterattack of burning 3 billion won in cash teased, the tension of the drama has risen even further.

In the recently aired episode 4, Kang Tae-ju (played by Namgoong Min) was depicted evading police pursuit while cooperating with Lee Soo-hyung (played by Park Byung-eun), foreshadowing a counterattack against Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung), who kidnapped Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol). This scene recorded a per-minute peak rating of 8.5% and a nationwide rating of 7.2% according to Nielsen Korea, renewing its own all-time high. Additionally, it ranked No. 1 on the global OTT platform Disney+'s 'Today's Top 10 Series in Korea' for two consecutive weeks.

In episode 5, airing on the 18th, the full-scale confrontation begins. Kang Tae-ju thoroughly prepares by installing communication equipment and a mysterious device on the rooftop. He gathers the 3 billion won in cash received from his father-in-law and mother-in-law, pours oil over it, and sets it on fire. Kang Tae-ju's multilayered emotions as he wages psychological warfare to rescue his kidnapped wife, transforming from a fugitive to a pursuer, will be key.

The production team stated, 'This is a scene where Kang Tae-ju throws his boldest move against Noh Man-hee for the first time, creating an opportunity to turn the tide,' adding, 'In episode 5, viewers will be able to experience the intense immersion of the crime thriller genre.' Another production member commented, 'Namgoong Min is an actor with outstanding expressive power, capturing not only Kang Tae-ju's emotional changes but also his calculated approach to every situation,' and noted, 'Viewers will be able to see what kind of counterattack he unleashes against Kim Dae-myung in episode 5.'

Meanwhile, 'The Art of Marriage' is a crime thriller about a man on the verge of divorce who fights a criminal to save his kidnapped wife. It was produced with support from the Korea Communications Commission's Broadcasting and Communications Development Fund. Episode 5 will air on the 18th at 9:20 PM.
