The massive fire that broke out at the Coupang logistics center in Seognam-dong, Seohae-gu, Incheon, has not yet been fully brought under control for over 24 hours.
As of the morning of the 19th, the fire authorities are maintaining a 'National Fire Mobilization Order' and are putting all available personnel and equipment into the firefighting efforts. The blaze, which started the previous morning, has been burning for an extended period, and efforts are underway simultaneously to extinguish remaining embers inside the logistics center and prevent further spread.
At around 9:19 a.m. on the same day, the Seohae-gu office sent an emergency disaster alert. The message stated, 'A National Fire Mobilization Order has been issued due to the fire at the Seognam-dong Coupang logistics center, and all-out firefighting efforts are underway,' requesting nearby residents to follow safety guidelines, including wearing masks and keeping windows closed.
In preparation for the possibility of fire smoke and dust spreading to surrounding areas, authorities are actively urging nearby residents to refrain from going outdoors, wear masks, and keep windows closed, in an effort to prevent further damage.
