HD Hyundai Heavy Industries will temporarily halt all production operations, including shipbuilding, across its entire plant for one day and conduct special safety training in an effort to eradicate serious industrial accidents.

According to a regulatory filing on July 20, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries will suspend production at all plants on July 21, 2026, to eliminate serious accidents. Production is scheduled to resume on July 22, 2026, the day after completing the special safety training.

However, areas subject to the partial work stoppage order related to gondolas issued by the Ulsan East Branch of the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office are excluded from this production resumption schedule.

The revenue of all plants subject to this production halt amounted to 17.5806 trillion won based on last year's consolidated financial statements. The company stated that this measure would cause a "temporary disruption in production."

This decision was finalized through an internal decision-making process on July 20, 2026, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries submitted a regulatory filing regarding the "occurrence of a serious industrial accident" on the same day.
