SK Enpulse (475150) surged in early trading on the 20th, triggering a Volatility Interruption (VI).

According to the Korea Exchange, a static VI was triggered for SK Enpulse at 9:19:40 a.m. that day and was lifted about two minutes later at 9:21:57 a.m.

As of 9:24 a.m., SK Enpulse is trading at 55,600 won, up 3,600 won (6.92%) from the previous trading day. This also represents a significant increase compared to the closing price of 52,000 won on the 16th.

On the first trading day following the Constitution Day holiday and weekend, a flood of buying sent the stock price sharply higher, and the intraday VI trigger further focused investor attention on the stock.

Around the same time, the domestic stock market is showing divergent movements by stock. While both the KOSPI at 6,804.14 and the KOSDAQ at 777.90 are declining, SK Enpulse is bucking the broader market trend and maintaining its strength.

However, some analysts note that given the high volatility in early trading, whether the upward momentum will continue or profit-taking sell-offs will emerge remains to be seen through the afternoon session.
