The 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup official theme song 'Dai Dai,' featuring Shakira and Burna Boy, is on the verge of surpassing 500 million cumulative views on YouTube. The song, whose global popularity shows no signs of cooling even after the World Cup, currently records over 470 million views on YouTube and is rapidly chasing the record for fastest 500 million views set by BTS's 'Dynamite.' Released on May 24, 'Dai Dai' is expected to rank within the top 10 for the fastest entry to 500 million views among global pop music videos.

Its chart performance is also overwhelming. The track achieved a triple crown by simultaneously taking first place on the Spotify Global Weekly Chart, the Billboard Global Chart (excluding the U.S.), and the YouTube Global Music Chart. Notably, it marks the first time an artist has recorded number one globally on Spotify with both English and Spanish songs. It recorded over 30 million streams in regions outside the U.S. in a single week, and this is the first time a World Cup official theme song has topped the Billboard Global Chart since the chart's inception in 2020. It also surpassed the number four peak achieved by Jung Kook's 'Dreamers' during the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup final saw the introduction of a halftime show for the first time. After BTS performed 'Dynamite,' Shakira and Burna Boy closed the show with 'Dai Dai.' The performers took the stage in a pro bono format, reflecting their charitable commitment to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, and Shakira is donating all royalties from 'Dai Dai' to the fund.

Following the halftime show, Shakira will continue the U.S. arena leg of her 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' world tour. She is scheduled to perform at the Barclays Center in New York on July 20–21, the UBS Arena on July 23, and Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on July 25. According to Billboard Boxscore, the first 86 shows of the tour recorded a cumulative audience of 3.3 million and total revenue of $421.6 million, a figure that surpasses Luis Miguel's $409.5 million. With this, Shakira has claimed the number one highest-grossing tour by a Hispanic artist in history and entered the top 5 highest-grossing tours by a female artist as selected by Rolling Stone. She is also donating an additional one dollar per tour ticket to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Having sold out her North and South American tour dates, Shakira plans to hold 'ES LATINA' this fall, her largest European stadium residency consisting of 12 performances at the Estadio Shakira in Madrid, Spain.
