CBC News

Samchundang Pharm is showing a downward trend, hitting a new 52-week low during trading on the 22nd.

Samchundang Pharm started the session on a weak note from early trading, lowering its floor to drop to 158,700 won during the day, setting a new 52-week low. It subsequently recovered some of its losses, but as of 12:16 p.m., it is trading at 159,300 won, down 8,500 won (5.0%) from the previous day.

Currently designated as an overheated short-selling stock, it has failed to significantly narrow its losses, showing shrinking investor sentiment.

At the same time, the domestic stock market is continuing a trend of stock-specific differentiation, with the KOSPI showing an upward trend driven by semiconductor stock strength, among others. However, Samchundang Pharm is showing a different trend from the broader market's tailwinds, remaining in bearish territory.

The market is watching whether bargain-hunting buying will flow in after the new 52-week low was recorded, and whether the stock can further recover its losses in the afternoon session.
