Samsung Biologics disclosed its preliminary consolidated results for the second quarter of 2026 on the 23rd.

According to the disclosure, Q2 revenue stood at KRW 1.3209 trillion, up 5.1% from the previous quarter (KRW 1.2571 trillion) and up 30.2% from the same period last year (KRW 1.0142 trillion). Operating profit for the same period was KRW 586.4 billion, increasing 1.0% from the previous quarter (KRW 580.8 billion) and 22.9% from the same period last year (KRW 477.2 billion).

Profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 584.6 billion, down 8.7% from the previous quarter but up 32.2% year-over-year. Net income for the period was KRW 430.7 billion, down 8.2% from the previous quarter (KRW 469.2 billion) and up 29.1% from the same period last year (KRW 333.6 billion). Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was also KRW 430.7 billion, down 8.2% from the previous quarter and up 29.1% year-over-year.

On a cumulative basis for the first half (January–June), revenue reached KRW 2.578 trillion and operating profit KRW 1.1672 trillion, up 28.0% and 28.6% respectively compared to the same period last year. During the same period, cumulative profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 1.2252 trillion, up 39.0% year-over-year, while cumulative net income and net income attributable to owners of the parent company each stood at KRW 899.9 billion, up 35.3% from the same period last year.

The company stated that these results are preliminary and have not been reviewed by an external auditor, and may be subject to change based on future audit results.

Meanwhile, the company explained that the net income and net income attributable to owners of the parent company for the same period last year did not reflect the profit or loss from discontinued operations of Samsung Bioepis related to the personnel split. According to the disclosure, Samsung Bioepis' discontinued operations recorded a loss of KRW 9.2 billion in Q2 2025, while cumulative discontinued operations profit for the first half of 2025 was KRW 35 billion.
