SK Square (402340) is exhibiting extreme stock price volatility, with the Volatility Interruption (VI) mechanism triggered three times in a single day on the 22nd.

According to the Korea Exchange, SK Square first triggered a static VI during the pre-market NXT session at 8:00 a.m. on this day, followed by consecutive static VI triggers during the regular trading session at 9:30:25 a.m. and 2:03:52 p.m. With VIs successively activated across the morning and afternoon sessions, short-term buying and selling forces clashed fiercely in the market.

The stock price has also shown significant fluctuations. SK Square, which started the session on a strong note, surrendered most of its gains as time passed, widening its intraday range. As of 2:06 p.m. on the 22nd, SK Square's stock price is trading at 1,257,000 won, up 0.32% (4,000 won) from the previous trading day.

Despite the overall KOSPI showing strength and investment sentiment improving on this day, the volatility of SK Square as an individual stock has expanded notably.

In the market, given the recent increase in SK Square's stock price volatility, observers are closely monitoring trading volume changes, supply and demand trends, semiconductor industry conditions, and expectations related to AI (artificial intelligence) investments as key variables that will determine the future direction of the stock price.
