KBS 2TV's weekend miniseries 'Perfect Marriage' is making a strong impact, simultaneously taking over both living rooms and OTT platforms.

The recently aired episode 6 recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 6.7% and a peak rating per minute of 8.8%, according to Nielsen Korea. This marks a 1.3 percentage point increase from the previous episode, ranking first among all dramas in the same time slot, including terrestrial broadcasts. It also claimed the number one spot on Disney+'s 'Top 10 Series in Korea Today' for three consecutive weeks, proving its explosive popularity.

In the episode, Kang Tae-joo (Namgoong Min) locates the hideout of kidnapper Noh Man-hee (Kim Dae-myung) and carries out a tense rescue mission to save his wife, Ko Se-yoon (Lee Seol). The high-caliber acting of the cast, including Namgoong Min, Kim Dae-myung, Lee Seol, and Lee Sang-hee, further heightened the immersion of the drama. In particular, the 'angry shovel attack ending,' in which tension reached its peak as Noh Man-hee attacks Kang Tae-joo during his escape, left viewers breathless.

In the upcoming episode 7, a major turning point is depicted as Kang Tae-joo clears his name as a kidnapping suspect and returns to his main profession as a doctor. Kang Tae-joo steps up as the lead surgeon to save the life of Kim Kyung-ae (Lee Sang-hee), directing the surgery with a calm and decisive attitude. This situation creates a deep dilemma for Kang Tae-joo, who must treat Kim Kyung-ae, the patient who is also the criminal responsible for kidnapping his wife, generating profound tension. Namgoong Min is expected to perfectly portray a professional doctor, seamlessly delivering complex medical terminology even in a situation where his face and mask are splattered with blood.

The production team stated, 'This is an important scene where Kang Tae-joo transforms from a fugitive to a doctor saving a patient,' adding, 'Namgoong Min's outstanding acting provides deep immersion. Please pay attention to episode 7.' They continued, 'Namgoong Min will deliver a performance that conveys every emotional and psychological change to the viewers,' and asked audiences to 'look forward to his acting as he takes on the contrasting roles of a kidnapping suspect and a doctor.'

Meanwhile, 'Perfect Marriage' was produced with the support of the Korea Communications Commission's Broadcasting Communications Development Fund, and episode 7 will air on the 25th at 9:20 PM.
