Hanmi Semiconductor (042700) extended its early morning gains before turning lower mid-morning, pressured by selling.

As of 11:28 a.m. on the 23rd, Hanmi Semiconductor's stock price was trading at 206,500 won, down 8,500 won (3.95%) from the previous trading day, slipping below the 200,000-won level.

Earlier in the session, the stock appeared to be improving investor sentiment with an upward trend, but profit-taking sell orders emerged over time, triggering a reversal into negative territory. The share price has fallen to the low 200,000-won range, reflecting expanded volatility.

Hanmi Semiconductor is widely regarded as a leading proxy stock for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) equipment. As such, the stock is directly influenced by expectations surrounding the artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor investment cycle and the global memory industry outlook. Some analysts view future movements in the U.S. semiconductor sector as a key variable that will determine the direction of Hanmi Semiconductor's share price.

Meanwhile, at the same time, the KOSPI market was trading at the 6,927 level, up more than 1%.
