Influencer Kichan, who gained recognition through the Japanese variety program 'Bad Romance,' is set to take the stage in a global commerce survival competition. As the Japanese representative, she will appear on 'X The League' (XTL), co-produced by ENA and Lara Station, marking her first-ever attempt at live commerce.

National Team Sales Showdown Featuring 8 Teams from 9 Countries

'X The League' is a national team commerce competition featuring 8 teams from 9 countries: South Korea, the United States, Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore & Malaysia. A total of 40 global sellers will compete for the grand prize of USD 500,000, with Tiffany Young and BbamBbam serving as MCs. The show premieres on August 2nd at 7:50 PM.

Attention-Grabbing Teaser Video — South Korean and U.S. Teams Also Full of Praise

In the teaser video released on the 23rd, Kichan, appearing as the Japanese team's representative, instantly captivated attention in the studio. Sang-eun-eonni, a member of the South Korean team, couldn't hide her surprise, saying, "Gyaru makeup is a global trend right now, so it's impossible not to know Kichan." Ayana, a member of the U.S. team, also praised Kichan's appearance.

Kichan introduced herself as someone active in Japan as a model, talent, influencer, and creator. She then demonstrated her credentials as a gyaru makeup representative, stating, "Hair is the frame for the canvas of your face. It's extremely important."

Sluggish Start for Japanese Team Overcome with Strategy Change, Leading to 'Complete Sellout'

During the live commerce mission, the Japanese team recorded somewhat sluggish results early on. Kichan explained, "It was much harder than I expected. Since selling products through live streaming isn't yet mainstream culture in Japan, we were somewhat passive in our sales approach."

However, the team members encouraged one another and overcame the crisis. Kichan reinforced her resolve, saying, "I felt that we absolutely had to make everyone realize how amazing Japan is here." Subsequently, the Japanese team changed their sales strategy and successfully sold all of their stock during the live broadcast. Cheers erupted on set with exclamations of, "All the stock is gone!"

Kichan expressed her determination to win, saying, "I hope we can report back with great results alongside our teammates."
