KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'Perfumed Marriage' is riding a ratings surge thanks to Kim Da-myeong's intense villainous performance.

As of the 18th, the drama has ranked No. 1 on Disney+'s 'Today's Top 10 Series in Korea' for three consecutive weeks, drawing enthusiastic responses. The sixth episode, which aired on the 19th, recorded a peak per-minute rating of 8.8% and a nationwide rating of 6.7% according to Nielsen Korea. This represents a 1.3 percentage point increase from the previous episode, making it the No. 1 drama across all channels in the same time slot.

In the recent broadcast, a tense situation unfolded as Noh Man-hee's (played by Kim Da-myeong) residence was exposed due to a sudden raid by Kang Tae-joo (played by Namgoong Min). During the incident, his wife Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang-hee) suffered serious injuries during a physical altercation with Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol), and the episode concluded with an enraged Noh Man-hee swinging a shovel at Kang Tae-joo.

In the upcoming seventh episode, scheduled to air on the 25th, Noh Man-hee's madness careens even further toward the extreme. The episode will feature Noh Man-hee bleeding from his face, breathing heavily, and consumed by rage while clutching a large stone in one hand.

The production team stated, "This is a full-scale scene where Noh Man-hee's obsession and madness erupt to extremes. Kim Da-myeong's chilling performance, which captures even the finest nuances of Noh Man-hee, will send shivers through living rooms." They added, "Through the role of Noh Man-hee, Kim Da-myeong is fully unleashing his meticulously built acting spectrum. Meanwhile, 'Perfumed Marriage' was produced with support from the Korea Communications Commission's Broadcasting and Communications Development Fund, and episode 7 will air on the 25th at 9:20 p.m.
