Shinsung Delta Tech overcame weakness in the regular session and rebounded in the after-hours market (NXT), raising expectations for its stock price trend on the next trading day.
On the 24th, Shinsung Delta Tech closed the regular session at 27,500 won, down 650 won (2.31%) from the previous trading day. On the same day, the broader domestic market plunged as risk-averse sentiment spread among global investors amid escalating military tensions between the United States and Iran. The KOSPI closed at 6,690.62, down 406.27 points (-5.72%) from the previous trading day, while the KOSDAQ closed at 748.22, down 42.06 points (-5.32%).
Apart from the decline in the regular session, the after-hours atmosphere was different. In the NXT, Shinsung Delta Tech recorded 29,450 won as of the 8 p.m. market close, up 1,950 won from the regular session closing price. On an NXT basis, it also rose 1,300 won (4.62%) from the previous trading day, drawing in buying interest.
The market is closely watching whether this trend will lead to improved investor sentiment on the next trading day, given the strong rebound in after-hours trading despite the decline in the regular session. In particular, attention is focused on whether the supply-demand changes observed after hours, amid heightened market volatility, will serve as a meaningful signal from the perspective of a new market leader.
However, some analysts note that since the influence of external variables — such as U.S.-Iran geopolitical risks, global financial market volatility, and foreign investor trading patterns — remains significant, short-term stock price trends may vary depending on market conditions.
