On the 24th, as the domestic stock market plunged sharply, major Korean robot stocks also finished trading weakly across the board. Profit-taking sell-offs poured in, centering on stocks that had recently maintained strength on expectations of Samsung Electronics' expansion of its robot business. This, combined with the broader market decline, widened the losses.

On this day, most major robot-related stocks failed to escape the downward trend. In particular, Rainbow Robotics recorded a relatively large drop, falling 15.74% from the previous trading day to 428,000 won. The stock price movements of major stocks were as follows:

  • Rainbow Robotics: 428,000 won (-15.74%)
  • Robotis: 192,900 won (-10.90%)
  • CloBot: 23,350 won (-11.21%)
  • Yujin Robot: 6,560 won (-9.76%)
  • Robostar: 60,900 won (-9.64%)
  • Yuyu Robotics: 60,300 won (-8.49%)
  • Doosan Robotics: 64,700 won (-7.30%)
  • POSCO DX: 19,180 won (-4.81%)
  • SFA: 20,250 won (-4.25%)

On the same day, the domestic stock market underwent an overall correction due to a combination of factors, including escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, a surge in international oil prices, and a contraction in global investor sentiment. The KOSPI closed at 6,690.62, down 406.27 points (-5.72%) from the previous trading day, while the KOSDAQ also finished the session at 748.22, down 42.06 points (-5.32%). In particular, net selling by both foreigners and institutions led the index decline.

The market assesses that long-term growth expectations for the robot industry remain valid. However, in the short term, stock price fluctuations driven by market volatility and changes in supply and demand appear inevitable.

Investors' attention is now focused on the next trading day's 'new market session.' Whether major robot stocks, including Rainbow Robotics and Doosan Robotics, will rebound to recover from the day's losses or continue to face profit-taking sell-offs will be a key point to watch.
