According to the Korea Gold Exchange on July 25, the buying price of silver (Silver, 3.75g) was recorded at 11,300 won, and the selling price at 9,550 won. The buying price fell by 50 won (0.44%) compared to the previous day, and the selling price also dropped by 40 won (0.42%).

On the previous day, July 24 (local time), the U.S. New York stock market closed mixed as international oil prices turned downward for the first time in six trading days, while selling pressure on semiconductor stocks continued. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 51,947.25, up 235.60 points (0.46%) from the previous trading day. The S&P 500 index recorded a slightly higher close at 7,411.98, up 3.68 points (0.05%). In contrast, the Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 24,975.82, down 161.87 points (0.64%), weighed down by weakness in semiconductor stocks.

Recently, volatility in global financial markets has expanded due to rising international oil prices. The increase in crude oil prices is increasing overall inflation pressure through higher logistics and production costs, thereby dampening investors' appetite for risk assets. The market is not ruling out the possibility that the timing of a U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) rate cut could be delayed if inflation concerns resurface.

Currently, silver prices are exhibiting expanding volatility as international oil prices, U.S. interest rates, the value of the dollar, and geopolitical risks exert a complex interplay. Market participants are closely watching the impact that Middle East developments, international oil price trends, U.S. inflation indicators, and monetary policy directions will have on future international silver prices and domestic silver prices.
