Group TWS delivers the refreshing essence of summer with the title track 'SODA SODA' from their second Japanese single.
On the 24th at 10 PM, TWS released the first music video teaser for the title track 'SODA SODA' from their second Japanese single through their official YouTube channel. In the video, the members are seen working at a beachside shop and dancing freely while enjoying their leisure time, maximizing the summer atmosphere with vibrant energy set against the backdrop of a blue sea.
Notably, the title track 'SODA SODA' features members Gyeongmin, Youngjae, and Jihoon participating in the composition. Lyrics expressing the excitement of bursting carbonation blend with modern city pop-based bass and analog synthesizer sounds to deliver a refreshing sensation to listeners. The track name 'SODA' also carries the dual meaning of the Japanese affirmative expression 'sou da (そうだ),' which is expected to resonate with local Japanese listeners.
This single includes a total of three tracks: the title track, 'Palm Tree' themed around a relaxing summer with palm trees and breeze, and the Japanese version of 'If I'm the S, Will You Be My N,' the title track from their 2nd mini album 'SUMMER BEAT!' The shining moments of youth and the anticipation for the coming season are etched into every track.
TWS plans to release an additional second music video teaser on the 31st. Following that, the title track's audio and full music video will be pre-released on August 3, with the single officially dropping on August 4.
Meanwhile, TWS, a six-member boy group under PLEDIS Entertainment, received Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan with their Japanese debut single 'Nice to see you again' (original title: はじめまして / Hajimemashite) in July 2025. Their 5th mini album 'NO TRAGEDY' sold over one million copies within four days of release, and they have also been active as models for multiple brands, solidifying their position as 'youth icons.'
