The group CORTIS has proven their unstoppable rise by winning a grand prize at a domestic music awards ceremony just 11 months after their debut.
At the 'KMA (KM Chart Awards) 2026' held on the 25th at Seoul's Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium, CORTIS (Martin, James, Jooheon, Sunghyun, Gunho) took home two awards: the grand prize equivalent 'Record of the Year' and the main prize 'Ultimate 12.' Having swept various rookie awards last year, the group solidified their firm footing by claiming a grand prize before even reaching their first debut anniversary.
At the ceremony, CORTIS performed a total of three songs, including 'ACAI,' 'REDRED,' and 'YOUNGCREATORCREW' from their second mini album. The members flawlessly delivered energetic performances and unwavering live vocals, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Following the win, CORTIS shared their sincere thoughts. They said, "We want to thank our fandom, Core, for giving us such a big award when it hasn't even been a year since our debut," and added, "We are happy that the confidence and ambition we had since the production of our second mini album's title track 'REDRED' have led to great results, and we will continue to show you great performances."
CORTIS's album achievements are also remarkable. Their recently released second mini album 'GREENGREEN' surpassed 3 million cumulative sales on the Circle Chart, achieving 'Triple Million Seller' status. This year, only two albums in the domestic market have sold over 3 million copies: BTS's fifth full-length album and CORTIS's latest release.
In addition, they have been achieving meaningful results in the global market, including charting on the U.S. Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' for 10 consecutive weeks and surpassing 300 million cumulative streams on Spotify.
Having successfully wrapped up their domestic activities, CORTIS will now expand their presence to overseas stages. On July 31 and August 1, they will participate in the major U.S. music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' as the only K-pop boy group. Following that, from August 4 to 16, they are scheduled to hold the '2026 CORTIS TOUR IN NORTH AMERICA' concert, touring six North American cities including Toronto and San Francisco.
