The KOSDAQ rebounded by more than 2%, recovering the 760 level, shaking off its recent sharp decline. Strong buying interest flowed into major large-cap stocks across sectors such as biotech, semiconductors, and robotics, leading top market-cap stocks to rally across the board.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 27th, the KOSDAQ index closed at 764.86, up 16.64 points (2.22%) from the previous trading day. After rebounding sharply early in the session and partially adjusting its gains, it maintained a solid trend as investor sentiment recovered.

Top Market-Cap Stock Trends The KOSDAQ's top 10 stocks by market capitalization mostly closed higher on the day.

  • Biotech: Bellwether Alteogen finished at 312,000 won, up 3.83% from the previous trading day. HLB (0.48%) and ABL Bio (0.28%) also joined the upward trend.
  • Robotics: Robot sector leader Rainbow Robotics surged 6.57%, posting the highest gain among top market-cap stocks.
  • Semiconductors: Jusung Engineering rose 6.31%, leading gains among equipment stocks. Buying interest also extended broadly to semiconductor-related names including Wonik IPS (5.47%), Lino Industry (1.75%), and PSK (1.46%).
  • Secondary Batteries: EcoPro (3.20%) and EcoPro BM (2.03%) both closed higher.

Market Outlook The market expects stock-by-stock differentiation to intensify this week in response to earnings season and shifts in foreign investor flows. In particular, earnings announcements and supply-demand changes in the biotech, semiconductor, and robotics sectors are projected to serve as key variables for the KOSDAQ market going forward.
