Hyundai Rotem has been awarded the electrical and mechanical (E&M) supply project for the Taiwan Taoyuan Brown Line. Hyundai Rotem's allocated project scope amounts to approximately 358.5 billion won.

According to Hyundai Rotem on the 28th, the company has received the final notice of award for the Taoyuan Brown Line E&M supply project from the Taoyuan City Government. This project will be jointly executed in a consortium with the overseas company ST Engineering Urban Solutions Ltd.

The contract amounts are as follows. The total project value is 26,393,994,968 TWD (Taiwanese dollars) and 90,024,985 EUR (euros). Under the consortium agreement, the portion assigned to Hyundai Rotem is 7,399,970,016 TWD and 13,774,980 EUR.

Converted at the KEB Hana Bank's initial posted base exchange rate as of July 28, 2026 (1 TWD = 45.34 won, 1 EUR = 1,666.16 won), Hyundai Rotem's share amounts to approximately 358.5 billion won (including VAT). This is equivalent to 6.1% of Hyundai Rotem's most recent fiscal year revenue (5.839 trillion won).

Hyundai Rotem emphasized that this disclosure is at the notice of award stage, and that a separate single sale and supply contract disclosure will be made once the final contract is signed. The company also added that the contract details may be subject to change during the negotiation process, and that the fact-confirmation date for this disclosure is July 28, 2026, the date of receipt of the notice of award.
