The Korea Exchange announced that it triggered a temporary suspension of program selling orders (sidecar) in the KOSDAQ market at 9:14:47 a.m. on the 28th.
The measure was taken as both the KOSDAQ 150 futures price and the spot index plunged simultaneously. The KOSDAQ 150 futures price fell by 79.60 points (-6.07%) from the previous day's closing price (1,309.80) to 1,230.20. Additionally, the KOSDAQ 150 spot index dropped by 77.05 points (-5.92%) from the previous day's close (1,301.36) to 1,224.31.
Accordingly, the Korea Exchange will suspend the validity of program selling orders for the next five minutes. This sidecar activation was implemented based on Article 13 of the KOSDAQ Market Business Regulations and Article 14 of the Enforcement Rules of the same regulations.
