On the afternoon of the 28th, Naver's stock price fell by more than 5%, dropping to the 210,000-won range. On the same day, the broader domestic stock market recorded a sharp decline, with circuit breakers triggered simultaneously on both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ.

As of 12:48 p.m. on this day, Naver was trading at 212,500 won, down 12,500 won (5.56%) from the previous trading day. It has been extending its losses throughout the session, continuing a bearish trend.

At the same time, the KOSPI plunged 636.65 points (9.42%) from the previous trading day to 6,119.10, while the KOSDAQ was trading down 57.80 points (7.55%) at 707.06.

As market shock widened, the Korea Exchange triggered the first-stage Circuit Breaker (CB) on the KOSPI. On the KOSDAQ, emergency measures followed in succession, with a Circuit Breaker triggered in addition to a temporary suspension of program sell orders (Sidecar).

On the same day, as massive sell-offs by foreigners and institutions swept the domestic stock market, most of the top market-cap stocks faced downward pressure. The mixed performance of the U.S. stock market the previous day, driven by weakness in the semiconductor sector, also played a role.

Naver was no exception, unable to avoid a bearish trend as a risk-off sentiment spread across the broader market, drawing in sell orders.

The market views whether domestic stock market volatility will ease in the near term as a key factor that will determine the stock price movements of large-cap tech stocks, including Naver. In particular, attention is focused on whether Naver can defend the 210,000-won support level.
