The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) will be held across Busan from August 21 to 30. This year's festival bridges the past and present of comedy, presenting a diverse repertoire that can be enjoyed across generations.

The most anticipated stage is 'Galgal-i Gag Concert: Return of the Legends,' featuring comedians from KBS's 'Gag Concert' mobilizing in full force. Beloved main comedians including Park Jun-hyung, Shim Hyun-seop, Park Sung-ho, Lim Hyuk-pil, Park Young-jin, and Kim Ji-hye will participate to deliver abundant laughter.

In addition, tribute performances dedicated to masters of the comedy world have been arranged. A talk show commemorating the 100th anniversary of Gu Bong-seo's birth, 'Kim Hak-rae and Lee Yong-sik's Hilarious Talk Show,' and 'The Jun Yu-seong Show Without Jun Yu-seong,' honoring Jun Yu-seong's comedic spirit, are prepared to deliver meaningful inspiration to fans.

The diversity of genres also stands out. A wide range of genres including stand-up, manzai, sketch, non-verbal, musical comedy, and talk shows are featured, broadening the audience's range of choices. For international performances, 'MIME DE RION' will visit, and the 'Double' stage featuring FISM World Magic Champion Norbert Ferrer and Korean comedy magician Kim Min-hyung is also generating buzz.

Over the past 14 years, the Busan International Comedy Festival has expanded citizens' opportunities to enjoy culture and contributed to the spread of comedy culture. In particular, since 2024, it has been actively promoting a comedy talent development program in collaboration with local universities, and plans to establish a dedicated comedy theater in the future. The goal is to build a comedy content production and distribution ecosystem centered on Busan, thereby establishing a solid industrial foundation.
