Hanwha Solutions recorded an operating profit that surged more than 200% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026.

According to a regulatory filing on the 29th, Hanwha Solutions' preliminary consolidated results for Q2 2026 are as follows:

  • Revenue: 4,582.655 trillion won (approx. 4,582.7 billion won)
  • * Up 47.0% year-over-year
  • * Up 18.1% quarter-over-quarter
  • Operating Profit: 306.534 billion won (approx. 306.5 billion won)
  • * Up 200.3% year-over-year
  • * Up 231.0% quarter-over-quarter

In addition, profitability metrics improved significantly. Profit before income tax from continuing operations recorded 258.147 billion won, turning to profit from losses in both the previous quarter (-42.369 billion won) and the same period last year (-148.414 billion won). Net income for the period (292.871 billion won) and net profit attributable to owners of the parent company (283.547 billion won) also successfully returned to profit compared to both the previous quarter and the same period last year.

First-Half Cumulative Results Show 'Surprising Growth' On a cumulative basis for the first half of this year (January–June), the company also delivered notable results. Revenue reached 8,464.607 billion won, up 36.3% year-over-year, while operating profit recorded 399.144 billion won, surging 201.5%. In particular, cumulative net income for the period (254.673 billion won) and net profit attributable to owners of the parent company (234.636 billion won) returned to profit from losses in the first half of last year.

Basis of Calculation and Caveats Hanwha Solutions explained that these results are preliminary figures prepared on a consolidated financial statement basis under Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS). The company added that profit and loss from discontinued operations due to the business suspension of a subsidiary were reflected, and since the data has not yet been reviewed by an external auditor, it may be subject to change during the formal audit process.
