Kiwoom Securities recorded an operating profit of KRW 788.9 billion on a consolidated basis in the second quarter of this year, achieving robust performance with an increase of more than 90% compared to the same period last year.
Q2 Performance Summary
On the 30th, Kiwoom Securities announced that it recorded KRW 16.0731 trillion in revenue and KRW 788.9 billion in operating profit in the second quarter of 2026, based on its consolidated financial statements (preliminary).
Revenue increased by 71.06% compared to the previous quarter (KRW 9.3959 trillion) and by 256.73% compared to the same period last year (KRW 4.5057 trillion). Operating profit rose by 27.00% from the previous quarter (KRW 621.2 billion) and by 93.23% from the same period last year (KRW 408.3 billion).
Profit before income tax from continuing operations stood at KRW 788.8 billion, up 19.10% from the previous quarter and 89.43% from the same period last year. Net income for the period was KRW 680.6 billion, an increase of 42.56% from the previous quarter and 119.44% from the same period last year. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 680.1 billion, up 42.76% from the previous quarter and 119.58% from the same period last year.
First Half Cumulative Performance
On a cumulative basis for the first half, revenue was KRW 25.4691 trillion, up 211.91% from the same period last year. Operating profit was KRW 1.4102 trillion (up 92.19%), and profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 1.4512 trillion (up 95.44%).
During the same period, net income was KRW 1.1579 trillion, up 112.19% from the same period last year, and net income attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 1.1564 trillion, up 112.17%.
Non-Consolidated Basis and Financial Position
On a non-consolidated basis, the company recorded KRW 15.4799 trillion in revenue, KRW 690.9 billion in operating profit, KRW 790.2 billion in net income before income tax, and KRW 678.3 billion in net income for the second quarter.
As of the end of the second quarter, total assets stood at KRW 94.9278 trillion, total liabilities at KRW 88.0368 trillion, and total equity at KRW 6.8909 trillion.
