On the 29th, the KOSDAQ index plunged in early trading, renewing its 52-week low.

As of 9:35 a.m. on the same day, the KOSDAQ index stood at 695.05, down 10.80 points (-1.53%) from the previous trading day. During the session, it dropped to as low as 693.13, marking its lowest level in the past year.

Selling pressure expanded immediately after the market open, widening the decline and significantly shrinking investor sentiment. In particular, large-cap stocks with top market capitalizations in major sectors such as semiconductors, secondary batteries, and biotech showed broad weakness, leading the index lower.

Representative stocks that drove the index decline included Alteogen, EcoPro, EcoPro BM, and Jusung Engineering.

Meanwhile, the market is closely monitoring future global stock market trends, changes in foreign and institutional supply and demand, and the release of major economic indicators, focusing on the possibility of expanded volatility.
