As the KOSDAQ market's stock price index plunged, Level 1 Circuit Breaker (CB) was triggered to stabilize the market.

According to a disclosure by the Korea Exchange on the 29th, trading on the KOSDAQ market was temporarily suspended at 12:19:12 p.m., executing Level 1 of the circuit breaker. At the time of activation, the KOSDAQ index stood at 649.00, down 56.85 points (8.05%) from the previous day's close of 705.85. The exchange explained that all trading was suspended for 20 minutes in accordance with relevant regulations, as the KOSDAQ composite index had fallen more than 8% below the previous day's closing price for one minute.

The conditions for the step-by-step circuit breaker that would be triggered in the event of a further index decline are as follows.

• Level 2 Circuit Breaker: Triggered if, after Level 1 is activated, the index falls 15% or more from the previous day's close and remains 1% or more below the Level 1 activation index for one minute (trading halted for 20 minutes)
• Level 3 Circuit Breaker: Triggered if, after Level 2 is activated, the index falls 20% or more from the previous day's close and remains 1% or more below the Level 2 activation index for one minute (KOSDAQ market trading closed for the day)

This trading suspension measure was taken in accordance with Article 26 of the KOSDAQ Market Business Regulations and Article 31 of the Enforcement Detailed Rules of the same regulations.
