SPG displayed a remarkable upward trend even as the broader domestic stock market plummeted, with its Volatility Intervention Device (VI) being triggered twice in a single day.

As of 2:29 p.m. on the 29th, SPG's stock price is trading at 78,700 won, up 10,700 won (15.74%) from the previous trading day. Due to the sharp surge during the session, the Korea Exchange consecutively activated the VI. The first VI was triggered at 9:00:09 a.m. and lifted at 9:02:12 a.m., while the second was triggered at 2:20:59 p.m. and released at 2:23:19 p.m.

At the same time, KOSPI fell by more than 6% to 5,609.92, and KOSDAQ also dropped to 658.21, recording a decline of over 6%. SPG's gains stand out conspicuously in this so-called 'dark cloud' market environment where both major indices are plunging together.

However, given the high intraday volatility, investors are closely watching whether the current strength will be maintained until the closing price.
