As of the market close, the trends of major stocks were as follows. Doosan Enerbility finished trading at 60,800 won, down 6.02% from the previous trading day. Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) closed at 33,150 won, down 1.48%, while Korea Power Engineering closed at 81,800 won, plunging 7.88%. In addition, KEPCO Plant Service & Engineering (KPS) recorded a relatively large decline, closing at 42,350 won (-4.29%), and Woory Technology at 8,080 won (-10.52%). Sujan Industries (19,800 won, -5.03%), Wooin (11,430 won, -8.63%), Geumhwa PSC (30,200 won, -2.58%), and Orbitex (3,660 won, -9.51%) also closed lower.

Recently, as risk-averse sentiment strengthened across the overall market, most stocks showed a downward trend. In particular, some stocks saw declines approaching double digits, clearly reflecting a contraction in investment sentiment.

Meanwhile, market attention is focused on the outcome of the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). The FOMC's decision on the benchmark interest rate and its message regarding the future direction of monetary policy could affect global financial markets as a whole, raising the possibility that the domestic stock market will also be influenced by changes in investment sentiment and foreign capital flows following the announcement.
