HD Hyundai Heavy Industries recorded a consolidated preliminary operating profit of KRW 1.0399 trillion for the second quarter of 2026. This figure represents a sharp increase of 120.6% compared to the same period last year.
According to a regulatory filing on the 29th, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' second-quarter revenue stood at KRW 6.3322 trillion, up 52.7% year-on-year and up 7.0% quarter-on-quarter. During the same period, operating profit rose 14.9% from the previous quarter (KRW 905.4 billion) and surged 120.6% compared to the same period last year (KRW 471.5 billion).
Second-quarter profit before income tax from continuing operations amounted to KRW 1.1564 trillion, representing an increase of 9.5% from the previous quarter and 312.7% from the same period last year. Net income and net income attributable to owners of the parent company each reached KRW 822.1 billion, expanding 6.2% quarter-on-quarter and 289.8% year-on-year, demonstrating significant overall profitability improvement.
Cumulative performance for the first half of this year (Q1–Q2) also showed strong momentum. Revenue reached KRW 12.2485 trillion (up 53.7% YoY), while operating profit achieved KRW 1.9453 trillion (up 114.9%). Cumulative first-half profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 2.2128 trillion, and net income was recorded at KRW 1.5960 trillion.
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries noted that these results are consolidated preliminary figures that have not yet been reviewed by an external auditor and may be subject to partial changes during the future accounting review process. The company also added that all disclosed amounts have been rounded to the nearest KRW 100 million.
