Institutional investors poured massive buying into large-cap semiconductor stocks, including SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics, in the KOSPI market on the morning of the 27th. Funds also flowed into representative stocks in the telecommunications, internet, and financial sectors, forming the top ranks of institutional net buying.
■ Institutional Buying Centered on Semiconductors and Large-Cap Stocks As of the morning of the same day, SK Hynix ranked first in institutional net buying. Institutions net purchased 231,000 shares of SK Hynix worth 410.764 billion won, with the day's trading volume recorded at 4,039,330 shares. Samsung Electronics recorded an institutional net purchase of 488,000 shares worth 125.132 billion won, and 16.484 billion won also flowed into Samsung Electronics Preferred, placing both common and preferred shares among the top net buying ranks. Institutional funds of 12.525 billion won also went into Hanmi Semiconductor.
■ Telecommunications, Internet, and Bio SK Telecom recorded a net purchase of 625,000 shares worth 62.588 billion won, attracting the third-largest amount of institutional funds, with a daily trading volume of 3,699,697 shares. Net purchases of 47.126 billion won, 46.793 billion won, and 26.666 billion won flowed into Samsung Biologics, NAVER, and Celltrion, respectively.
■ Financial Stocks KB Financial topped the financial sector with 41.821 billion won in net purchases, and 20.762 billion won also flowed into Woori Financial Group, placing the two stocks at the top of supply and demand for financial stocks.
■ Consumer Goods, Cosmetics, Entertainment, and Others In consumer goods, 19.178 billion won and 17.858 billion won flowed into Amorepacific and Samyang Foods, respectively. Among cosmetics-related stocks, net purchases continued with 13.845 billion won for Dalbi Global and 12.368 billion won for Cosmax. In the entertainment sector, HYBE recorded a net purchase of 17.649 billion won, while SK posted 17.137 billion won, Samsung SDS 34.425 billion won, and HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering 12.296 billion won in institutional net purchases.
