The Ripple (XRP) Ledger (XRPL) has officially implemented its latest network update, the 'fixCleanup3_2_0' amendment. According to overseas crypto media outlet CoinGape, the amendment passed with the approval of 30 out of 35 trusted validators (85.71%), while 5 voted against it. Citing data from XRPScan, CoinGape reported that the amendment is now active and the minimum software version required for mainnet compatibility has been raised to 'XRPL 3.2.0'.

Compatibility With Older Node Versions Discontinued... "Immediate Upgrade to 3.2.0 Required" This update has an immediate impact on users running previous versions. XRPScan urged users to take action for service continuity, stating, "With the activation of the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment, all nodes running version 3.1.0 or below will be blocked from applying amendments until they upgrade to 3.2.0." Previously, XRPL contributor 'Vet' also warned that "all nodes using versions below 3.2.0 will experience service disruptions." Nodes that have not completed the upgrade are no longer compatible with the network.

Fortunately, the rate of update propagation across the network has been very fast. Currently, 103 validators (68.67% of the total) and 543 nodes (64.26%) are already running version 3.2.0. Meanwhile, 37 validators (24.67%) and 268 nodes (31.72%) are still using the older version 3.1.3. CoinGape reported that a significant number of operators have completed the upgrade and the rest are in the process of updating sequentially.

'A Better Network Begins'... What Are the Key Changes? Regarding this amendment, an XRPL dUNL validator remarked, "The XRP Ledger fix amendment has just been applied, and XRPL 3.2.0 is now the new minimum version on the mainnet," adding, "The XRP Ledger became a better network the moment the switch was flipped."

This update includes several bug fixes and feature improvements for the infrastructure and development environment, with a primary focus on enhancing the stability and accuracy of existing features. The key changes and improvements are as follows:

• Protocol and Naming Changes: Following the implementation of 'XLS-0095,' the most significant protocol change, the official name of the XRP Ledger server software has been changed from 'rippled' to 'xrpld.' This process began on June 15 (local time), and configuration paths, deployment scripts, metadata references, and database directories for node operators were also modified accordingly.
• Accuracy and Bug Fixes: Rounding and accuracy issues found in Single Asset Vaults and the lending protocol have been resolved.
• Feature Stabilization: Certain errors identified in the Permissioned DEX and Permissioned Domains have been fixed.
