According to domestic precious metal prices announced by Gold Price.com on July 29, 2026, prices of major precious metals, including pure gold, showed a general decline.

Gold Price Trends (based on 3.75g): • Pure gold: Buy 818,000 won (down 11,000 won from previous trading day), Sell 708,000 won (down 7,000 won) • 18K gold: Sell 522,000 won (down 5,000 won) • 14K gold: Sell 405,000 won (down 4,000 won) • Platinum: Buy 318,000 won (down 5,000 won), Sell 266,000 won (down 4,000 won) • Silver: Buy 10,850 won (unchanged from previous trading day), Sell 10,350 won (up 100 won)

This decline in precious metals coincides with a sharp drop in international oil prices driven by growing optimism over U.S.-Iran dialogue. On July 28 (local time), the closing price of September Brent crude oil futures on the ICE Futures Exchange was recorded at $84.09 per barrel, down 4.8% from the previous session. On the same day, the closing price of September West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures also fell 4.1% from the previous session to $79.26 per barrel.

With signals currently emerging that geopolitical risks are easing, attention is focused on the future direction of the market. In particular, investors should keep in mind that safe-haven assets, which had shown strength amid the recent decline in international oil prices, have shifted to a weakening trend.
