Kim Nara emerged as the final winner on the tvN survival program 'Kill It: Style Creator Grand War,' cementing her status as a next-generation fashion icon.
In the final round, the TOP 7 contestants — Kim Nara, Kim Jihoon, Dasha, Bella Wooyoung, Yoyo, Jain, and Choi Minaso — took on different challenges in a fierce competition for the top spot as a style creator.
The first mission involved collaborating with fashion experts to complete their own outfits. Kim Nara presented a genderless and timeless concept, Dasha showcased her vision of her 30s that she imagined at age 12, and Yoyo presented athleisure wear. Choi Minaso offered a white look that modernly interpreted an Eastern mood, while Jain took first place with a resort look inspired by Princess Jasmine from 'Aladdin.'
The second round was a mission where label leaders selected special items from a wardrobe and completed styling within 15 minutes. Kim Nara finished an oversized jumpsuit look in just 1 minute and 13 seconds, taking first place in this round as well.
In the third round, contestants planned and personally executed their own personal showcases, handling directing, styling, and demonstrations. Kim Jihoon presented a 'Sex and the City' concept, while Yoyo delivered a musical performance under the theme 'This is me.' Dasha prepared a wedding stage with haute couture sensibilities, and Choi Minaso prepared a storytelling stage reflecting her growth. Bella Wooyoung showcased a layered-style fashion show, and Jain presented a DJing and techno fashion show.
Taking the final stage, Kim Nara performed a drawing act under the theme 'We draw each other,' directly painting over the model's outfit. Her message that 'identity is not a single, fixed essence' and her artistic sensibility stood out, while Nayawashi and a robot model appeared to create a dreamlike atmosphere.
As the final winner, Kim Nara received 100 million won in prize money along with an exclusive model contract with Sepolab, a biogenic brand by FusionBio, and a contract fee of 100 million won.
Kim Nara shared her thoughts, saying, 'I held onto "Kill It" as if my life depended on it. Over the past three years, my work decreased and it felt like my place was disappearing, so I considered leaving the fashion industry and finding another job. It was a program that gave me the courage that I am allowed to do this.'
Runner-up Yoyo said, 'It was a program that erased my limits,' and third-place Bella Wooyoung remarked, 'It is a new chapter and a starting page.' Fourth-place Choi Minaso said, 'It was an experience that made me love even my shortcomings.' Fifth-place Jain stated, 'When else would I have such an experience? It was so much fun and I am grateful.' Sixth-place Kim Jihoon said, 'It was a great memory and a new challenge. I am grateful,' and seventh-place Dasha left her thoughts, saying, 'The me right now is cooler than the me before Kill It.'
Immediately after the broadcast, online communities and social media were filled with enthusiastic responses to Kim Nara's win and final stage, with comments such as 'Maximum immersion,' 'It brings tears,' and 'A stage worthy of winning.'
Meanwhile, 'Kill It: Style Creator Grand War,' a survival program designed to discover the next-generation style icons to lead K-fashion trends, concluded with its 12th episode.
