KBS 2TV's new daily drama 'Trap of Desire' will premiere on August 10 at 7:50 PM. Scheduled as the follow-up to 'Red Pearl,' the drama is generating buzz as it marks Jang Seo-hee's return to KBS after a whopping 12 years.

'Trap of Desire' depicts the story of a woman framed for murder who stands against enormous desires to reclaim her fate. Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-soo direct the series, with writer Gu Ji-won penning the script and Studio Bom producing.

A diverse cast including Jang Seo-hee, Jun Hyun-min, Seol Jung-hwan, Joo Sae-byuk, Yoon Hae-young, and Yoo Tae-woong star in the drama. The group poster released on the 30th features 11 key characters, building tension through expressions and gazes that reveal each individual's desires.

The characters in the poster are: Joo Mi-ran (Jang Seo-hee), Ko Eun-seol (Jun Hyun-min), Cha Seok-jin (Seol Jung-hwan), Kang Hae-ra (Joo Sae-byuk), Kim Jung-sun (Yoon Hae-young), Kang Young-hoon (Yoo Tae-woong), Seo Hyun-jae (Jang Se-hyun), Seo Mi-rae (Son Sung-yoon), Wang Geum-ja (Seo Kwon-soon), Ko Gi-han (Choi Jae-won), and Ko Eun-guk (Park Sung-gyu).

In particular, the image of Ko Eun-seol wearing a crown with her eyes covered symbolizes the reality of having lost everything along with a false murder charge. Key characters such as Joo Mi-ran, Kang Hae-ra, Cha Seok-jin, and Kang Young-hoon are positioned with cold expressions, hinting at the competition to claim the crown.

The production team stated, "The crown in the group poster is a shape formed by the gathering of greedy hands," adding, "It symbolizes the desires and fierce power struggles of the characters unfolding over the throne of the 'Cheongma Group.'" They continued, "Every detail—the characters' expressions, gazes, and placements—holds meaning."

The actors plan to express each character's desires and conflicts in their own unique colors, enhancing the drama's overall quality. 'Trap of Desire' promises an intense revenge drama and an expansive narrative, driven by the message of 'swapped fates, hidden truths, and unended vengeance.'
