President Seo Jung-min had been personally leading the process of securing the Grand Bell Film Festival trademark rights since his tenure as the association's secretary general, and he officially took over the management of the association and the hosting of the film festival from former President Cho Jung-gil.
In his inaugural address, President Seo stated, "I will work together with Festival President Cho Keun-woo, Vice President Yoon Hee-sook, and the association's executive board to lead the association and do our utmost to ensure that the Grand Bell Film Festival is successfully held." He continued, "I will do my best so that all film industry professionals can unite and the Grand Bell Film Festival can establish itself as the most prestigious film festival in name and reality."
The Producers Association intends to further strengthen the tradition and authority of the Grand Bell Film Festival, taking the acquisition of the trademark as an opportunity, and contribute to the development of the domestic film industry. Attention is focused on what changes the newly launched Producers Association, along with its new executive board, will bring to the future operation of the Grand Bell Film Festival and the domestic film industry.
