In the domestic stock market on the 30th, robot-related stocks showed sharply divergent movements. Unlike the 22nd, when they rose across the board, this day saw clear directional splits by individual stock.
Behind this trend, two variables originating from the U.S. stock market have overlapped.
Tesla's Q2 Earnings... Uncertain Timeline for Optimus Monetization
The first is Tesla's second-quarter earnings. Tesla announced its Q2 results on the 22nd (local time). While revenue exceeded expectations, earnings per share fell significantly short, and margins in both the automotive and energy segments declined jointly.
CEO Elon Musk stated that production of the third-generation Optimus would soon begin at the Fremont factory. However, since the initial units will be prioritized for training data collection rather than sales, analyses followed suggesting that the actual timeline for revenue conversion remains uncertain. Subsequently, the view emerged in Korea that if Optimus monetization is delayed, the timing of benefits for domestic robot component and automation partners could also be pushed back.
U.S. July FOMC Holds Base Rate Unchanged... Selectivity and Focus Within Robot Stocks
The second is the result of the U.S. July FOMC announced early morning on the 30th Korea time, in which the Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged.
With these two factors overlapping, even within robot stocks, responses appear to have diverged between Optimus supply chain-related stocks and others.
Rising Stocks: Many Gain Strength, Including C-Meros Robotics Hitting Upper Limit
Among the gaining stocks, notable ones include RS Automation (5.31%), Goyoung (4.40%), SPG (2.57%), and Doosan Robotics (2.26%). Zeus (3.26%), Curexo (3.10%), Dynamic Solutions (3.75%), and Heisen R&M (2.59%) also showed upward trends. Heisen R&M, which operates a robot actuator business combining servo motors, reducers, and drive controllers, is often grouped under the humanoid component theme, though no individual catalyst explaining the day's rise has been confirmed.
The steepest gainer was C-Meros Robotics, which hit the upper price limit (29.95%). However, no disclosure or news explaining this has been confirmed. Given that recently listed robot stocks have repeatedly experienced sharp surges and declines due to concentrated supply and demand, it may be an individual liquidity factor, though this remains only an unconfirmed possibility.
Declining Stocks: KNR Systems -13%... Angel Robotics and Hyundai Movex Among Top by Volume
Declining stocks include KNR Systems (-13.11%), Hyundai Movex (-8.96%), Hurlim A-Tech (-8.50%), Naro Robotics (-6.27%), Angel Robotics (-7.12%), Everybot (-4.75%), Ajin Exotech (-4.76%), and Maum AI (-4.10%).
Angel Robotics and Hyundai Movex ranked high in trading volume at 3.54 million and 1.65 million shares, respectively, suggesting that actual trading intensity was not low despite the decline rates.
